This page explains how Looper (loopery.dev, "this blog") handles visitor information.
What we collect
You can read this blog without creating an account or entering any personal information. Only a limited amount of data is handled:
- View counts: per-post view counts are tallied anonymously (Upstash Redis). No personally identifiable information is stored.
- Hosting logs: this blog is hosted on Vercel, which may technically collect standard web server logs (IP address, request time, user agent, etc.). See the Vercel Privacy Policy for details.
Comments (Giscus)
Post comments are powered by Giscus, built on GitHub Discussions. Leaving a comment requires signing in with a GitHub account, and comments are posted publicly to GitHub Discussions. GitHub's data handling is governed by the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
This blog does not currently show ads. If Google AdSense is enabled in the future:
- Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this or other websites.
- See Google's advertising policies for how Google uses advertising cookies.
- Users can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings.
This section will be updated once ads actually go live.
Cookies
Beyond what's strictly necessary to run the site, this blog does not currently use tracking cookies of its own. As noted above, using comments (Giscus) or, in the future, ads (Google AdSense) may cause those third parties to set their own cookies.
